Welcome to FixMyIM.

Introduction

FixMyIM was conceived when augrunt was searching for information on how to remove certain viruses and worms that attack Instant Messaging applications. He found scattered information across the web and sometimes in different languages. Struggling with the ever growing spam. He downloaded MediaWiki and began constructing a central database that would house the information for other users of IM software to be able to troubleshoot their own problems with User documented assistance. In time it will also grow to accomodate other inhibitors of programs. Such as Errors and Problems that occur with step by step guides provided by users who have found the answer!

We are currently editing over 41 articles.

How can I Help?

Being a New Wiki is not easy. Information and Data is not complete, let alone documented. That being the case we must work together in order to ensure we start to build up articles of relevant information to assist users who visit this site. FixMyIM's primary goal is to provide information on viruses, worms and trojans that can affect and propagate via Instant Messengers, such as Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger and AOL Messenger (AIM).

If you find that a virus has not been documented and fits the criteria mentioned, Please do not hesitate to add it to FixMyIM in order to assist other users.
Even if you do not know the fix, another user might.
